In music, games, and silence (the time I spend with myself)

Imagen
Everyone needs moments to reconnect with themselves. For me, free time is not just a break, it’s a sanctuary. It’s when I return to what makes me feel alive, creative, and centered. My hobbies reflect who I am beyond responsibilities and expectations. One of my greatest pleasures is listening to music in English. There is something deeply liberating about losing myself in lyrics that tell stories, ignite emotions, and sometimes speak exactly what I feel but cannot say. Through music, I’ve learned to understand the soul of another culture. I listen not only to enjoy but also to improve my English, to discover new artists, and to feel connected with the world beyond borders. I also find peace and purpose in fixing damaged electronic devices. It may sound technical but to me, it’s personal. Breathing life back into something that was thought to be broken feels magical. It’s a challenge that requires patience and logic but it rewards me with satisfaction and growth. I love understanding ho...

Code, vision, and the future i’m building

Imagen
I am currently a software development student at SENA, where I’m preparing to become something more than just a professional, I’m becoming a creator of ideas, a solver of problems, and a builder of solutions. In my training, I’ve had the opportunity to learn not only the logic behind programming but the discipline and collaboration that come with it. I enjoy developing software, creating algorithms, and understanding how technology shapes our world. This process has awakened a passion in me that I never imagined would be so strong. But I dream bigger. I want to be an excellent developer, one who not only writes code but understands people’s needs, creates meaningful solutions, and brings innovation to life. I want to work on projects that matter. I want to solve real problems with digital tools. And beyond that, I want to build something of my own. I dream of creating my own business, where creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship come together. I want to lead a team, creat...

Home: The most peaceful place on earthcode, vision, and the future i’m building

Imagen
Some people travel the world to find peace. I only need to return home. My favorite place is not marked on any map, nor is it a famous destination. It’s my home, a space where comfort, love, and belonging come together. For me, home is not just a location, it’s a state of mind. It’s the feeling of being surrounded by those who know you completely and love you anyway. When I’m home, especially with my family, I feel a deep sense of tranquility, peace, and happiness. Sharing quality time with my loved ones, laughing together, talking about life, or simply being in the same room in silence, those are the moments that give meaning to everything else. My home reminds me that true richness lies in simplicity. In a warm meal shared at the table, in the smile of my mother, in the comfort of familiar walls, in my cat’s quiet purring. It’s a place where I recharge my energy, where I reflect, and where I feel safe. While the world moves fast and often feels chaotic, home grounds me. It i...

Justice or privilege? a reality check

Imagen
Justice, in theory, should be equal for everyone. But in practice, it rarely is. In our society, justice often depends on status, influence, and convenience. Many good people never receive justice while those who commit serious crimes escape punishment due to their power or connections. Laws are applied not based on the truth but on what serves the system best. What’s even more troubling is how society punishes some while forgiving others for the same crimes. This inequality weakens our faith in institutions and creates a cycle where people lose hope in real justice. Some say that jail reforms people but I believe true change cannot be forced. A way of thinking does not disappear, it only adapts or hides. If someone wants to change, they must be given the opportunity, the guidance, and the reason to do so. Otherwise, punishment alone is not enough. I believe we need a justice system that sees the human behind the act, one that seeks truth, accountability, and restoration, not...

A language that opened my world

Imagen
My journey with English began early thanks to my mother, who introduced me to English music when I was just a child. I didn’t understand the lyrics at first but I felt something, an energy, a rhythm, a doorway into another world. Since then, I have been fascinated by the language and everything it represents. Learning English hasn’t always been easy. The most difficult part for me has been speaking fluently. It takes confidence, practice, and courage to express yourself in a foreign language, especially when you're afraid of making mistakes. But I’ve learned that making mistakes is part of the process. What I love most about English is the way it opens up my world. It has allowed me to access knowledge, music, series, games, and cultures that I wouldn't otherwise understand. Every new word I learn gives me more freedom to think, to connect, and to dream. Today, English is not a luxury. It’s essential, both socially and professionally. In a globalized world, speaking English ...

Seeing beyond the headlines ( a call for awareness)

Media is one of the most powerful tools humanity has ever created. Through it, we share knowledge, stories, experiences, emotions, and innovation. But like every powerful tool, its impact depends on how it is used. Today, media is often misused to spread misinformation and manipulate public opinion. It is too common to find false narratives being presented as facts, creating distorted perspectives of reality. While some people question what they see or hear, many do not express their doubts properly. This leads to more confusion, unnecessary arguments, and a loss of focus on the real issues that matter. The truth is, most media outlets are not neutral. They are often controlled by powerful interests that decide what is shown and what is hidden. Instead of offering honest journalism, some focus on empty stories while ignoring the real crises around us. That is why critical thinking and media literacy are essential today. We must learn to question everything, to analyze the sourc...

My family, the heart of my life

Imagen
If I had to define what keeps me grounded in this world, I would say without hesitation, my family. They are not just part of my life, they are the very essence of it. They are the roots that keep me steady in the storm, the light that guides me through darkness, and the warmth that gives meaning to each day. My mother, Claudia Quintero, is the soul of our home. Her strength is quiet but unwavering. Her hands have held me in my hardest moments, and her voice has been my compass when I’ve felt lost. She has faced life’s challenges with a heart full of love and a spirit full of courage. From her, I’ve learned that true power lies not in force but in resilience and compassion. I have two siblings who walk beside me on this journey. My sister, Katerine Delgado, is 24 years old. She is an artist of life, creative, thoughtful, and always finding beauty in the smallest things. Her ability to express herself not only through drawings but also through words, emotions, and ideas is something I d...
