My family, the heart of my life

If I had to define what keeps me grounded in this world, I would say without hesitation, my family. They are not just part of my life, they are the very essence of it. They are the roots that keep me steady in the storm, the light that guides me through darkness, and the warmth that gives meaning to each day.

My mother, Claudia Quintero, is the soul of our home. Her strength is quiet but unwavering. Her hands have held me in my hardest moments, and her voice has been my compass when I’ve felt lost. She has faced life’s challenges with a heart full of love and a spirit full of courage. From her, I’ve learned that true power lies not in force but in resilience and compassion.

I have two siblings who walk beside me on this journey. My sister, Katerine Delgado, is 24 years old. She is an artist of life, creative, thoughtful, and always finding beauty in the smallest things. Her ability to express herself not only through drawings but also through words, emotions, and ideas is something I deeply admire. She is my mirror and my friend, my confidant and inspiration.

My brother, Hamilton Delgado, is 21. He carries a spark of curiosity and energy that pushes me forward. He questions the world, dreams with intensity, and lives with a passion that is contagious. With him, I have shared laughter, ambitions, and silent struggles that only brothers can truly understand.

There are also two wise souls whose love has been a guiding force in my life, my grandparents, Jose and Betty. They are the keepers of our family's history, the quiet storytellers of the past. From them, I’ve learned patience, tradition, and the power of a silent kind of love, the kind expressed in a shared cup of coffee, a gentle smile, or a memory whispered in time. Their presence is a blessing I carry with me always.

And then, there is a little soul who has captured my heart completely, Harry, my feline son. He may be covered in fur, but his presence brings joy, calm, and unconditional companionship into my life. He listens without judgment, stays close in silence, and reminds me that love can take many forms, even in the soft purring of a cat curled up on my lap after a long day. Harry is more than a pet. He is family. He is a part of my story, my emotional anchor, my comfort when I need peace.

In every step I take, they are with me, not always physically but always in spirit. When I doubt myself, I recall the lessons they’ve taught me. When I achieve something, I carry their pride in my heart. My family isn’t perfect, but they are mine, and within them I find more than love, I find meaning.

They are the home I carry with me wherever I go. They are my origin and my destiny. They are the reason I strive to grow, to rise again, and to keep believing.

My family is not just my support. They are my poetry, my peace, my heartbeat, and my truth.
